Multimedia education for stress relief and prevention

Funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research

Scientist(s): Blair Irvine, PhD

Designed specifically for employees, this educational program uses multimedia techniques to present proven stress reduction strategies: physical exercise, relaxation techniques, cognitive reframing, humor, and time/money management. Media enhancements include guided relaxations, demonstrations of simple stretching exercises, and self quizzes with tailored responses about both parenting and work-stress issues. To learn more about the CD-ROM developed from this research, see Stress: Relief and Prevention.
