Injury Prevention Projects at ORCAS

Posted: 2010

EUGENE, OREGON - The Oregon Center for Applied Science, in partnership with Meredith Publishing , has created a series of video programs for families to assist them in preventing injuries to their children. Funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Development, these programs focus on American Academy of Pediatrics-suggested strategies that families can use to prevent injuries due to automobile crashes, burns, falls and other problems that are the top causes of morbidity and mortality for children. These programs are currently under evaluation in a randomized trial across the United States. For more information about the program or the clinical trial, contact the Family Safety 123 project at family123@orcasinc.com or call us at 1-877-366-3119.
