Khaya Clark, PhD
Research Scientist
Khaya Clark has served as Principal Investigator (PI) on several ORCAS projects including “All That We Are: Interactive Program to Reduce Racial Bias,” designed for children in grades K-3, and two e-Learning diversity training programs: “In Diverse Company,” designed for medium-to-large workplaces; and “Teacher Diversity” (working title) targeted to elementary school educators.
Khaya has been an instructor at the University of Oregon, where she recently received her Ph.D. in Sociology. Khaya’s dissertation research was funded by the National Science Foundation (Methodology, Measurement, and Statistics Program). In addition, the National Science Foundation has granted Khaya a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Emory University. Khaya is also an American Sociological Association Minority Fellow and member of many other professional associations including the Association of Black Sociologists, Society for the Study of Social Problems, and Sociologists for Women in Society.
Specializing in race and ethnicity (emphasis on attitudes research), sociology of childhood, and social psychology, Khaya’s work has been published in The Psychology of Modern Prejudice, and the Journal of Basic and Applied Social Psychology.
