Benefits
Creating a positive, healthy worksite is a high priority at our
company. Some of the benefits of working at the Oregon Center for Applied Science,
Inc. may include
- Medical, vision, prescription drug insurance -- Premiums
are 100% paid for you plus 80% for one additional family member or domestic
partner. Additional family members can be covered at group rates
- Dental insurance -- Premiums
are 80% paid for you plus 80% for one additional family member or domestic
partner. Additional family members can be covered at group rates
- Section 125 Plan -- ORCAS will provide a 125 Plan that
allows employees to pay medical/dental premiums with pre-tax dollars.
- Long-term disability -- ORCAS provides long-term disability
insurance for all eligible employees.
- 401K Plan -- An amount equal to 7.5% of your gross pay
is contributed by ORCAS each month following your provisional period. You
direct the investment of these funds. You are 100% vested in your account
on day one of eligibility. The ORCAS contribution does not apply to the Authorized Bonus or the Developer Product Bonus. You can also elect to defer
a portion of your salary to the plan.
- Financial planning advice -- Financial planning advice
is available to all employees, at no cost to the employee.
- Up to ten (10) days of paid vacation -- Accrues monthly. Unused vacation can be rolled over to the next year.
15 days of paid vacation after two years of employment.
- Up to six (6) paid sick days -- Accrues monthly after your provisional
period. Unused sick days can be rolled over to the next year.
- Ten (10) paid holidays
- Bereavement leave -- Up to three paid days off in the event of
the death of an immediate family member.
- Employment anniversary paid day off -- A "thank you"
for another year of company service.
- Employee Morale Fund -- ORCAS contributes matching funds
up to $200 per month to help purchase snacks, pop, coffee, etc. and fund some
employee functions.
- Annual cost of living adjustment
- Employee Association membership -- Your voice in the policies
and direction of the company.
- Authorized Bonus (year-end bonus) -- A bonus paid to all
Employee Association Members calculated on your FTE average over a look-back period.
- Developer Product Bonus -- A bonus paid to employees who
participated in the development of a commercially successful product.
